Everlyn is from Meru, Kenya. When GORP met Everlyn, she already had great talent with making beaded purses that are a popular design in Kenya. Everlyn learned how to knit from Muthoni, another GORP artisan. She quickly learned how to create the functional and fun coffee sleeves in our online store. Everlyn works with Grain of Rice Project, a non-profit organization that empowers Kenyans through education and training initiatives. Grain of Rice Project works to provide opportunities to people in Kenya to help them overcome some of their hardships. Their current focus is on building a school in rural Kenya to expand our reach through education.
